So I'm not quite used to this blogging thing and haven't quite figured out a pattern of doing (sewing and/or crafting) then blogging about it, so here I am, I have sewn two aprons since I last blogged, the third (which is actually pictured first, the brown one) is one I made a couple weeks ago. The two half aprons are reversible and have coordinating pockets. I have some fun fabric to play with for more aprons..... if your interested in purchasing one let me know. I will have them up in my etsy shop soon. All custom made to your specifications. I also make children's aprons..... the little daisy one is my daughters. She lov
es it and wanted to wear it to bed tonight :) Makes my heart melt when something I've made is appreciated and loved!
I tend to use my kids naptime as my crafting time so if they sleep well I can get a nice chunk of work done but if not then it sits in my sewing room until I can get to it. I am so thankful that I have a room that is dedicated to my crafty stuff (thank you husband!) in our old place (a condo) I had a cutting table that folds and I had to clean up everything if the kids woke up, which ultimately made it less fun to be creative because by the time I'd set things up again guess what? One or both of the kids were awake. I have a child proof lock thingy on the doorknob, although it may not be as child proof anymore since my daughter (almost 3) has learned how to pop them off of the doors. So far she hasn't tried it with this one and it is a different style than the one she has mastered. So now I make sure I at least put the pins, scissors, and sharp objects, oh and hot irons out of reach.
With that said here is my son thinking it was fab to climb onto my chair and play with my sewing machine!!
He's so cute its hard to be serious and tell him he can't play with mommy's toys!
Tomorrow's project: an overdue crayon roll
Delayed project: Diapers, yup STILL waiting on the velcro to arrive. Maybe tomorrow?
